Brighton Equality March is 2 May 2010

Stonewall's Brighton Equality Walk is on 2 May

Stonewall's seventh annual 10k Brighton Equality Walk will take place on bank holiday Sunday, 2 May 2010 .

The gay rights charity's event last year attracted more than 400 walkers and raised in excess of £50,000, which went towards the production of the anti-bullying FIT DVD.

Registration costs £10, with all walkers receiving a goody bag and special edition T-shirt, but there will be prizes for the top fundraising individuals and groups, including a luxury weekend for two in Paris courtesy of American Express.

Starting at Brighton's Pavilion Gardens, this year's walk is in aid of Stonewall's Education for All programme, which tackles homophobic bullying in Britain's schools.

Ben Summerskill, Stonewall's chief executive, said: "The Brighton Equality Walk has always been a key event in Stonewall's fundraising calendar. This year we're continuing our focus on stamping out homophobic bullying in schools, the second most frequent form of bullying in our schools, according to secondary school teachers."
