Glee: "a great responsibity with the show

Glee named best comedy series

The cult high-school musical show was named best comedy show in the 21st annual Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) awards held in LA.

The show won the award for its positive portrayal of gay characters.

At the ceremony show creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the gay character, Kurt, would have a boyfriend in the next series, and that the two of them would become school prom kings.

“We have a great responsibility with the show,” Ryan said, adding that Kurt, played by Chris Colfer, “would never be a victim” in the show.

Director Tom Ford also won an award as director of the film A Single Man, and RuPaul’s Drag Race was voted best reality show.
