Gay News: Gay storyline in Emmerdale is up for a series of awards in the forthcoming British Soap Awards.

Emmerdale’s gay storyline is up for a series of awards in the forthcoming British Soap Awards.
The struggle of character Aaron Livesy to come to terms with his homosexuality was nominated as the best British Soap Storyline of the year. In the Awards line-up the storyline is referred to as “Aaron’s Gay Self-Loathing”.
Actor Danny Miller has also been nominated for Best Dramatic Performance playing the sexually- confused Aaron, and the episode in which Aaron came out as gay to his family is up for the Best Single Episode.
In total the Yorkshire soap has been nominated in each of the Awards panel’s nine categories, compared to Coronation Street and EastEnders which have been nominated for eight each.
The British Soap Awards will take place on Sunday 8th May and will be broadcast by ITV1 on Wednesday 11th May
