Tearful Oprah: "I'm not even kind of lesbian"

Talking to journalist Barbara Walters about her twenty-year-old friendship with journalist Gaye King, she denied persistent rumours that they were in a lesbian relationship.
“I am not lesbian,” the 56-year-old said. “I am note even kind of lesbian. That irritates me because it means somebody must think I’m lying. That is not the way I run my life.”
When questioned about their close friendship, a tearful Oprah described King as “the mother I never had… the sister everybody would want. She is the friend everyone deserves. I don’t know a better person.”
Asked why she was crying, she replied: “I’m thinking how much I probably never told her that.”
Oprah has been in a relationship since 1986 with businessman Stedman Graham.
