Gay News: Elton John has picked a lesbian couple to be his son's godmothers

The singer and his partner David Furnish, whose son Zachary was born to a surrogate mother on Christmas Day 2010, have reportedly asked magazine editor Ingrid Sischy, 58, and her partner Sandy Bryant, 55, to be responsible for Zachary’s moral welfare.
The two couples are long-standing friends and holiday together in Africa each year.
A friend of John and Furnish told the Mail on Sunday: “Elton could have picked anyone from the world of showbusiness to be godparents but he chose a couple of dear friends who will take their role seriously.”
Sischy is an art expert and former editor of Andy Warhol’s Interview magazine. Although she lives in New York she was educated in Scotland.
Elton John is the godfather to ten children, including Sean Lennon and all three of David and Victoria Beckham’s children.
