Gay News: During June's gay pride month, a Google for certain gay-related terms will call up a rainbow flag at the end of the search bar.

Not gay enough?
Google slammed for not being gay enough
However the search engine giant has faced criticism for not giving the rainbow flag enough prominence.
Google regularly customises – or doodles – its entire logo to celebrate major anniversaries or celebrations.
In the past it has changed its logo to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the Pac-Man arcade game, Beatle John Lennon’s birthday, and, more recently, the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
However, a search for terms such as “gay” or “gay marriage” customises not the logo but just the search bar.
The SF Weekly has called Google’s mini-doodle “not gay enough”, and the Los Angeles Times has accused Google’s support of gay rights as being “in the closet”
A spokesman responded to the SF Weekly’s criticism that gay Pride month was not being celebrated as prominently as other national events and celebrations:
"We have to balance this rotating calendar with the need to maintain the consistency of the Google homepage.
“Occasionally, we choose other ways to celebrate events that are important and meaningful for our users such as commemorative graphics or, in this case, a fun Easter egg in our search results."
