Racing ducks for charity

Duck

Crusaid and the Terrence Higgins Trust are just two charities which stand to benefit from the Great British Duck Race which will take place in London

In 2007 London smashed the Singapore World Record by racing 165,000 yellow plastic ducks down the Thames, and raised over £100,000 for 440 UK charities.

This year there are plans to race a quarter of a million ducks down the one-kilometre course, starting at Moseley Lock, near Hampton Court Palace.

It costs just £2 to adopt a duck, and to make a donation to the charity of your choice. There’s also the chance of winning a £10,000 prize if your little yellow friend passes the finishing post first.
