We need you! MI5 wants new gay recruits

"Stonewall will also feature the MI5 in their recruitment guide for the first time"

The British Intelligence Service have been liaising with Stonewall, the UK’s leading gay equality organisation to devise ways of attracting more LGBT people to sign up to MI5.

In what is a big step forward for sexual equality in the civil services, MI5 has been co-ordinating its efforts with Stonewall to actively attract a more diverse range of applicants for jobs within the organisation.

Ben Summerskill, director of Stonewall, told PinkNews.co.uk:

"We are delighted that MI5 have decided to explore the pool of talent within the LGBT workforce.

"Previously, public services were delivered by the 'Man from the Ministery', who was white and heterosexual; that is now changing."

In addition to advising the organisation on how attract more LGBT candidates, Stonewall will also feature the MI5 in their recruitment guide for the first time.

The Stonewall recruitment guide is a yearly publication listing gay-friendly employers.
