First Mr Gay UK winner accused of murder

Anthony Morley
Mr Gay UK winner "killed man and then cooked and ate him"
"Leeds Crown Court heard that Morley stabbed Oldfield several times in the neck. He then went on to cut off part of his thigh, season it with fresh herbs and cook it in olive oil before eating it."
The first winner of Mr Gay UK, Anthony Morley was yesterday accused of murdering Damian Oldfield, and then cooking and eating part of his thigh.
Leeds Crown Court heard that Morley stabbed Oldfield several times in the neck. He then went on to cut off part of his thigh, season it with fresh herbs and cook it in olive oil before eating it. He then walked to a nearby takeaway and informed staff that he had killed someone.
When police arrived to arrest Mr. Morley, he claimed that Oldfield has tried to rape him and he acted in self defence.
Mr Morley reportedly told the police: "It's this lad, he tried to rape me so I stopped him." When asked how exactly he had stopped his attacker Mr Morley allegedly said: ""I'm a chef, how do you think I stopped him?"
Andrew Stubbs QC for the prosecution claimed that Mr. Morley had issues dealing with his sexuality and after engaging in sexual activity with Damian Oldfield, Morley stabbed him:
"He continued to stab and stab and stab him until he died. Even when he was dead the attack continued until finally Mr Morley cut parts of flesh from the body."
Findings report that there was no sign of a struggle and it is possible that Oldfield was attacked from behind.
The case for Morley's defence stated that Morley may be suffering mental abnormality and claimed that he may have been provoked. Defence QC Robert Smith admitted that his client was guilty of manslaughter, but not murder.
Morley won the title of Mr Gay UK in 1993 and as part of the prize opened a number of gay events and nights around the British Isles. The case continues.
