Church in controversial gay exorcism
By: Nigel Robinson

"Murdering his spirit"

A church has filmed its ministers casting the homosexual 'demon' out of a teenage boy

The controversial video was posted on You Tube by the Manifested Glory Ministries church in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

It shows an unidentified teen writhing on the floor while a group of ministers try and “exorcise” his homosexuality out of him.

In it, one woman cries out: “Come on, you homosexual demon! You homosexual spirit, we call you out right now! Loose your grip, Lucifer!"

The video has created a tide of complaints in the USA, with gay rights and gay youth groups calling it abuse and demanding an investigation.

The church remains unrepentant, however.

In an interview with news channel CNN, pastor Patricia McKinney said: “I believe in deliverance, I believe in anointing, I believe in the power of Jesus...

"We allow [gay people] to come into our church. We just don't allow them to come in and continue to live that lifestyle.

"God made Adam and Eve. He made a woman to be with a man, and a man to be with a woman."

McKinney claims that the teenager, who has not been named, came to the church and asked to be “cured” of his homosexuality.

Robin McHaelen of gay youth group True Colors said she was horrified by the incident.

She told Associated Press: "What saddens me is the people that are doing this think they are doing something in the kid's best interests, when in fact they're murdering his spirit."
