A "doggone solution" to the "boy-boy problem"

Down, dog...!

US columnist: set attack dogs on cruising gays

A Georgia, US newspaper columnist has suggested that local officials should use attack dogs to deal with the issue of gay sex in public places. Dick Yarbrough, who writes for the Marietta Daily Journal was complaining about the persistant occurence of sex between men at two parks in the Atlanta suburb, and suggested a "doggone solution" to the "boy-boy" problem."

"With a little instruction," he wrote, "dogs could be taught to severely dislike the gay lovers in Burruss and Wildwood and bite them in the fanny [American for bottom] and do what the City Council should have done years ago - chase them off to Atlanta where they belong."

Although Yarbrough is apparently well known for his extreme views, on this occasion his vicious solution was extended to cover mobile phone users. "Assuming that works," he went on, "we will then tell the canines that cell phone users are really just possums with bad attitudes. The dogs will take it from there and then maybe the rest of us can have a little peace and quiet in Glover Park."
