Stonewall announces Leadership Programme 2009
Stonewall has announced that its 2009 Leadership Programme, which aims to provide lesbian, gay and bisexual people with new skills, knowledge and inspiration to exercise leadership, is now open for applications
The programme, now in its fifth year, is intended for people already in management or leadership positions or those who have already demonstrated leadership potential, and encourages participants to use their own personal experiences when leading others.
Karen Scott-Hughes, a performance analyst for the Crown Prosecution Service, said: "Having been on various leadership courses, I have to say that this has been the most beneficial. The safe space enabled me to be myself and give 100% to the course instead of wasting energy hiding who I am. The tutors were inspirational and I will use the skills and techniques I have learnt."
The two-day residential programme on November 26 - 27 at the Ashridge Business School in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, costs £795 + VAT for employees of Diversity Champion organisations or 1,095 + VAT for non-members. The deadline for applications is Monday September 28.
