Jason Lewis comes out. As extremely gay friendly.

Sex and the City's Smith lends his support to gay marriage
"In the world we're living in, gay people are still horribly discriminated against"
He's the hunk that Samantha ends up with in Sex and the City, the wannabe model-cum-actor who Samantha informs the minute he makes it big with the gays, he's made it big with the girls. Now, as the fever for the Sex and the City movie builds, Smith Jared - or more accurately Jason Lewis, the actor who plays him, has made no secret of his gay-friendliness.
When asked by an interviewer if he was gay, Lewis said he wasn't but continued, "In the world we're living in, gay people are still horribly discriminated against. Why does somebody need to be so affected by someone else's happiness? Some of these people show up 20 years in a row at the county clerk's office [to get married] knowing they're going to be turned down. That's dedication and love... these are decent people."
Lewis, who also played a gay soap actor in the series Brothers & Sisters, was speaking to the magazine Los Angeles Confidential. He said of playing gay for the first time, "I was supported by a really good story. It felt very much like a human issue and not a sexual issue."
The Sex and the City movie opens in the UK on 28th May.
