Torchwood star undertakes controversial sexuality tests

John Barrowman
John Barrowman's documentary on what made him gay
Actor John Barrowman has been subjecting himself to scientific tests worthy of Torchwood itself at a research project in California.
Filming for a new three-part BBC documentary on what makes people gay (and straight, presumably), Barrowman has put himself in the hands of the scientists at UCLA's Human Genetics Lab, who are trying to get to the bottom of the age-old question of why some men and women turn out to be attracted to members of their own sex.
Among tests, Barrowman has provided samples of his DNA and has been put through tests to judge his reactions to sexy images of men and women, all of which has been filmed - no doubt in the best possible taste - for airing this summer. He will also be confronted with his very first girlfriend!
