There are no gays in Star Wars ââ¬â and thatââ¬â¢s official. Well, sort of.
Gamer internet forums are currently in meltdown as Canadian game-makers, BioWare, creators of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic role-playing game, have banned mention of homosexuality on their online discussion boards.
Threads on the official BioWare forum debating the possibility of same-sex relationships in the game have been closed down by the company.
Furthermore, the forum’s moderators have censored all use of the words “gay”, “lesbian” and “homosexual”.
In a statement on a discussion thread, Sean Dahlberg, BioWare’s Community Manager wrote: “As I have stated before, these are terms that do not exist in Star Wars. Thread closed.”
