Nailbomb play premieres in Brighton
By: Nigel Robinson

The Admiral Duncan today

A play based on the Admiral Duncan bombing opens tonight in Brighton

The First Domino by Jonathan Cash is based on the events of 30 April 1999 when a nail bomb ripped through the Admiral Duncan pub in the heart of London’s gay village.

Playwright Cash was standing only a few feet away from the bomb when it exploded.

Ten years later he has produced a thought-provoking piece centred on the strange relationship between the nail bomber and his prison doctor, which addresses our own fears and prejudices.

The First Domino by Jonathan Cash and directed by Faynia Williams is part of the Brighton Fringe Festival and plays at the Latest Music Bar until 23 May.
