Dirty White Boy: Tales of Soho is based on the award-winning book by Clayton Littlewood, and documents life on Old Compton Street, the heart of London’s gay village.
Littlewood ran the designer clothes shop of the same name and daily observed all the sights and sounds of one of the most famous gay streets in the world.
His cast of real-life and recognisable Soho characters includes madames and rent boys (his shop was underneath a brothel), pimps and drug dealers, bag ladies and hen parties, and drag queens and flyer-boys.
The book won the Gay Times Book of the Year award, and was described by Sir Elton John as the best book he had read that year.
Writer Clayton Littlewood will be starring as himself in the production, with the other characters played by award-winning solo performer David Benson.
Dirty White Boy is at the Trafalgar Studios, Whitehall, London on 10, 17 and 24 July at 9.30 pm.
