Year after year, international surveys recognise that Switzerland’s largest city offers the highest quality of life anywhere in the world.

The city has one of the liveliest and most vibrant gay scenes in mainland Europe, based in the Old Town and Zürich West, and with a staggering variety of bars and cubs to suit every taste, as well as cultural events such as the Warmer Mai festival in May, featuring, among other things, the Swiss gay and lesbian film festival, Pink Apple.
In 2009 Zürich will play proud host to EuroPride, a whole month’s celebration of LGBT life and culture, which will reach its climax in the EuroPride Parade on June 6th when tens of thousands of revellers from all over the world will parade and party through the streets of inner Zürich.
