Away with the faeries
Wannsee
The EuroFaeries is an international movement of gay men providing an alternative to the superficial and commercial gay scene of the big cities. They regularly hold communal events in remote places to create a space of gay creativity and spirituality.
This summer they are spending a week of love, light and laughter on the shore of the Wannsee, the largest and most beautiful lake in Berlin. Expect faerie frolics, bodywork, outdoor fun and plenty of spaces to play. On offer are workshops, meditation, heart circles for body and soul, song, dance, as well as sports and barbeque facilities.
Dressing up is a big feature of the Faerie gatherings and the organisers encourage everyone to bring with them colourful costumes, drag, wigs and make-up, as well as CD players, drums, keyboards and other musical instruments to help add to the event.
