By: Kavita Gosyne

Stonewall, the LGBT rights and equality organisation has invited the community to participate in their latest fund raising event in Barcelona.

"More than £50,000 was raised at last year’s event"

The Barcelona Equality Walk will take place during the weekend of July 11 -13. The 10 km walk is not only an opportunity to raise money for Stonewall’s efforts to tackle homophobia bullying in schools, it is a chance to meet new people and enjoy seeing the sights in the Barcelona sun.

Participants will be invited to the rooftop welcome party at Axel Hotel on Friday morning. Saturday will be the 10k walk and Sunday will be left free for participants to spend the day sightseeing possibly with new friends.

The registration fee is £300 will include return flights with British Airways and two nights accommodation at Axel, the premier gay hotel. Also all participants are asked to raise an additional £400 for the cause.

More than £50,000 was raised at last year’s event and there are great hopes that this year will be just as successful.
