Gay men with HIV are being invited to share their experiences online

The Terrence Higgins trust is keen for gay men living with HIV to post their experiences on its What's Next? website  which provides information and support targeted specifically at newly diagnosed gay men.

Part of the website is written from the perspective of men already living with HIV and includes diaries describing their personal experiences and offering tips and advice.

The aim is to get a diverse range of men of varying experiences and backgrounds. At the moment the Trust is particularly looking for Latin American men and men from black and minority ethnic communities.

However, anyone who is interested can come forward, and ideally should be able to provide a diary of about 500 words once a month.

“We know that many people feel quite alone after being diagnosed with HIV and What Next? aims to reduce that feeling of isolation,” said Marc Thompson, Deputy Head of Health Promotion at the Terrence Higgins Trust.

“Hearing from men with HIV who are living normal lives and managing their condition can really help. If you’re interested in featuring on the website, please get in touch. Your contribution could mean a lot to someone who is newly diagnosed.”

People who are interested in contributing to the website should contact Stephen Adair on 020 7812 1783 or email stephen.adair@tht.org.uk
