Honda DN-01

Honda’s unique DN-01 motorcycle goes on sale on Friday 1st August.

Available in two colours of graphite black and pearl amethyst purple, and with fully automatic transmission, the DN-01 is a category-defying machine unique in the world of motorcycling.

An entirely new type of bike, the DN-01 combines elements of superbike performance with the operating ease and cruiser riding comfort of a big scooter, and futuristic styling with unparalleled technological advancements.

The sleek DN-01 introduces the most advanced fully automatic transmission ever developed for any two-wheeled vehicle with HFT or ‘human-friendly transmission’. Power comes form the punchy Transalp 680cc V-twin, feeding through the HFT system and offering auto, superauto or thumb-operated six-speed manual transmission modes. This all provides smooth drive to the rear tyre without the lag of some other automatic transmission systems.

The DN-01 will be on show, together with other classics of sixty years of Honda design, at this year’s International Motor Show in London’s ExCel Centre from 23rd July to 3rd August.

Honda has taken over the open-air Live Action Arena at ExCel, renaming it ‘Dreamscape’ for the duration of the British Motor Show. The 50 square metre tarmac area with a stage at one end and seating for 2.500 people will house performances that tell the Honda story using cars, motorcycles, dancers and even robots!
