Northern Pride in Newcastle is the North-East’s biggest LGBT festival and more than 10,000 fun-loving gay Geordies are expected to turn up for this year’s event. And who knows? You might even find your very own Angel of the North!
The fun kicks off with a parade through town and then continues on to the beautiful Leazes Park where the serious partying begins. This year there will be something for everyone including several stages, stalls from all around the UK, sports tournaments, entertainment for the kids, and, of course, plenty to eat and drink.
A first for 2010 will be a third stage playing more acoustic and mellow music, giving even the most hardened Pride-goer a chance to chill out.
